We didn't stop at single agents. The fundamental shift was that the RPA asked, "What are the steps to do this task?" (Follow the script), whereas the Agentic AI asks, "What is the best way to accomplish this goal?" (Create the plan, then execute.)

 

The Travel Agent: Instead of a bot that blindly books the flight it's told to, our new AI Agent receives the goal: "Get Aparna from Mumbai to London for the quarterly meeting with a budget of Rs . 150,000." The agent then reasons: it researches flight prices, checks Aparna's calendar for the best dates, evaluates layover options against her preferences, books the ticket, and even files the expense report with a single process flow.​
