A fundamental constraint remained: orchestration.​ Every process, no matter how intelligent, requires a human architect.  If a process changes or an exception occurs that wasn't predefined in a flow chart, the entire operation will halt, displaying a "require human assistance" signal.​ The cost of maintenance, the brittleness of the bots in the face of change, and the ceiling of what we could automate became our new challenge.
